Job Description
The Administrator manages the day-to-day operations of the entire facility and is accountable to the Governing Board/ASC President. Excellent Benefits. Essential Position Responsibilities: Develops, plans, and implements short and long-term financial, operating and capital budgeting for the center. Oversees the management of the ASC to include both clinical and business office under the oversight of the Board Assists the Clinical Director of Nursing with the overall scheduling of the clinical staff as needed. Implements and instructs in proper guidelines of the QAPI program for the nursing care provided in the center. Assists with all clinical aspects of the ASC as needed. Ensures compliance with standards and guidelines promulgated by accrediting and regulatory agencies and for preparing for inspection by such agencies. Maintains a safe environment in accordance with center standards, policies and safety regulations. Ensures compliance with Infection Prevention policies. Ensures compliance in OSHA standards and documentation. Ensures that Life Safety is routinely examined for issues, maintenance, and follow-up. Pursues a program of self-development. Remains abreast of developments in clinical areas of nursing and ASC Administration and in management skills. Oversees and documents all QAPI meeting and Board Meeting Agendas and Minutes. Serves as a non-voting Board member. Assist with monitoring compliance of staff members in the daily practice of nursing care. Serves as Human Resources Director and Risk Manager. Monitors staff compliance with policies and procedures. Assists in the counseling and disciplinary measures to personnel for noncompliance with policies and procedures. Assists ASC President in hiring and termination duties in the ASC. Participates in the orientation of new staff members and staff in-services. Other duties as required. Qualifications: 4-year degree from accredited college or university, Licensed RN or MBA preferred but nor required. Experience: Preferred, but not mandatory 1-3 years ASC Pre-op and/or PACU experience. or hospital administration preferred. Salary: Above average $85K - $120K Competencies: Possess a general understanding of business and facility activities, preferably those associated with the operations of health care providers. Know or show the ability to learn quickly the generally accepted standards of the healthcare sector as well as practices applicable to the scope of this job’s responsibilities. Demonstrate the highest of ethical standards. Have highly developed organizational skills and be capable of effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and demands. Be highly motivated to make valued contributions which effectively support the achievement of the overall business objectives and goals. Exercise an appropriate degree of discretion when handling sensitive data/information. Display in positive or negative situations clear and persuasive communication skills in both one-on-one and group situations. Possess well-developed interpersonal skills which bring about positive attitudes and support for work objectives. Be technically competent to ensure the appropriate and accurate recording of financial transactions. Demonstrate a competent level of skill in using financial application software particular to this department as well as the standard office applications and Able to motivate, counsel, teach, mediate, facilitate and resolve problems Demonstrated leadership abilities showing ability to deal positively with staff Ability to get along with diverse personalities and develop and maintain smooth and constructive relationships with executive colleagues, as well as outside agencies, organizations and individuals. Functions as a leader to provide work direction and coordination of duties for front office staff. Functions as a teacher on the institution of management’s policies/procedures. Initiate’s correction of problem areas. Cooperates with all levels of personnel and physicians. Maintain new and established vendor contracts Oversees all front office functions. Sets a positive example for all staff. Responsible for planning, developing and implementing a budgeted process for staff and services rendered. In cooperation with the Director of Nursing and the Medical Director, evaluates the quality of cost effectiveness of staffing, supplies, equipment and services within the goals of the ASC. Collaborates with Medical Director in marketing efforts to promote the ASC. Participates in appropriate meetings and committees. Other duties as required.
