Job Responsibilities: Promote Cresset as a strategic partner to the banking community, who can, with the right partners create synergistic opportunities to best serve Cresset clients, which in turn will become a source of on-going referrals and opportunity for the bank and lending institutions in our program. Able to train advisors on how the combined access, coupled with knowhow and expertise can become a significant value-add for the client and a terrific retention (and sales) tool for the advisor and firm. Be a source of expertise on relevant topics for Cresset advisors, clients, and prospects by sitting on their side of the table developing their credit/loan strategies and understanding credit and risk. Advocate, while leveraging personal expertise in working with clients and advisors to best position lending requests for success, based on the nuance of the request, complexity of the balance sheet, and the lender(s) involvedQualifications Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred Seven plus years of experience with extensive credit and loan expertise in wealth management and/or middle market banking Prior experience structuring creative and complex credit transactions Expert knowledge of and proven success with complex credit products and concepts including, but not limited to residential real estate loans, concentrated collateral loans, unsecured lending, marketable secured lending, aircraft finance and art lending Knowledge of national banking marketplace and which banks are strongest in what aspects of the market, how they view credit and risk, and what their overall approach to doing business is and how they differ Knowledge of capital markets and macro interest rate environment Analytical skills, including financial analysis and the ability to identify and analyze credit opportunities and the attendant credit risks Ability to communicate sophisticated credit concepts to all levels of clients and prospects Demonstrated understanding of wealth management including, but not limited to investment management, estates, trusts and financial planning Ability to work in a team-based environment and assist in the development and retention of junior team membersWhat We OfferCresset offers a competitive compensation package including a discretionary bonus program and a benefits package to all full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, health savings accounts, short and long-term disability insurance, voluntary critical and accident insurance, and pre-tax parking and transportation programs.
