Job Title: Sales Account Executive, Show Services Division
Based: North Carolina
Position Reports To: Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Crescent Event Productions, Inc.
The key responsibility of a Sales Account Executive at Crescent Event Productions is new, profitable business development. In addition, this position will act as a liaison between CEP and our clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
The focus of this position is working with and through others, building and maintaining relationships, and working closely and accurately within established guidelines. There is a need for an effective communicator, someone who is able to stimulate and motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns. There will be many different people to meet and work with. The person in this position must be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others, including the company, its management, the team, the company's customers, or all of the above. A persuasive, teaching style of communication is required to communicate the company's policies, programs, and systems. A faster-than- average pace will be the norm for this position. Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and eciently. This portion of the work will often focus on relationships with others; correct handling of details dealing with others is necessary to maintain and grow relationships. If the job involves managing others, following up carefully, closely, and cheerfully is required to ensure both correct work and maintenance of the relationships. Necessary corrections must be made in a constructive, supportive manner. As time is usually a factor, the work must be done on time, as well as correctly. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies must be followed fairly closely, while working with and for others.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Find new customers(conferences, special events, meetings) in assigned regions in the US and market segments by conducting internet research and other personally generated means.
2. Manage the entire sales process from finding new business to closing the deal.
3. Ability to communicate quality of production vs. price within a sales presentation.
4. Knowledgeable on audio-visual equipment and capabilities
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
6. Prepare detailed quotes for client events.
7. Host Tech Review Calls with CEP AV Lead and Client.
8. Resolve problems and handle complaints in a timely manner.
9. Maintain positive and productive relationships with CEP personnel.
10. Professionally represent CEP.
11. Attend industry trade shows and conferences as assigned
12. Actively assist to build, grow and protect the CEP brand, and internal staff culture.

A natural, forward planner who can critically assess his or her own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior management. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator with the ability to see things from the other person’s point of view. Well presented and businesslike. Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel. Able to get along with others, and a team player. Innovative thinking is a plus.
Personal Situation: Must be mature and domestically secure. Able to travel for business without upsetting domestic situation. Able to communicate reliably to corporate headquarters. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required. May be striving financially, but not in serious debt. Must have clean driving and criminal record.
Computer Skills: Must be adept in the use of MS Office, Excel, Word, and familiar with basic level in operating database software, Internet and e-mail. Must be proficient in the use of Windows and Apple computers / operating systems.
Literary and Numeric Skills: Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic finance, eg., gross margin percentages and calculations, revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc. Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
Sales Ability: Excellent selling skills are crucial. Ability to find new, profitable business as well as possessing the skills to close deals is critical to your success at CEP.
