Sales & Operations Planning Analyst

Job Summary

The S&OP Analyst leads a cross-functional process between planning, engineering, finance, and business units. It fills an essential role in the generation of mid and long-term supply plans. These plans will guide internal and external manufacturing operations in support of revenue, cost and margin targets. In this role, the S&OP Analyst works closely with Operations to plan factory capacity and output, as well as working on continuous improvement projects. This individual must have attention to detail, be a self-motivated leader, and effectively collaborate with members of the planning, production control, engineering, customer service and marketing teams for the Wolfspeed business.

What You Can Do For Cree | Wolfspeed?

  • Responsible for the monthly Sales and Operations process
  • Lead key S&OP meetings; Document outcomes and actions
  • Create, modify and manage production plans used by all stages of manufacturing to drive factory output plans
  • Monitor and report assumptions, risks and opportunities to meeting business targets; escalate to management as appropriate
  • Understand end-customer demand requirements and align manufacturing capabilities to support
  • Coordinate planning inputs such as yields, cycle times, and NPI launch timelines to ensure accurate customer plans
  • Document current processes and practices
  • Understand S&OP best practices; Review and improve Cree S&OP processes to ensure they incorporate best practices and meet business needs
  • Develop business requirements for future automation opportunities
  • Establish metrics to help monitor the effectiveness of the S&OP processes
  • Support the annual long-range planning process
  • Develop processes for communication of requirements to drive effective materials requirements and packager supply plans
  • Optimize capacity plans in working with factories, engineering and operations management to maximize the output and minimize mismatched orders.
  • Metric ownership sample: Early Warning, Mismatch reduction, OTD to Commit, Leadtime Accuracy

What You Need For Success

  • BS Engineering, Science, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance or other Engineering field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong personal work ethic
  • Extensive experience in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Thisposition requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areascontrolled by United States export control laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering or MBA in supply chain or related field
  • Working knowledge of SAP Enterprise Planning system and process is a strong preference
  • Semiconductor or high-tech industry experience
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and end-to-end supply chain knowledge
  • Experience across multiple aspects of the supply chain, i.e. with previous roles in inventory management, manufacturing planning, distribution channel management, sales forecasting, etc.
  • Comfortable analyzing large and unrefined data sets
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Expertise in data acquisition, spreadsheet/database development and analysis
