Credit Union 1 is hiring a Member Solutions Specialist to join the Inbound Sales Team at our Contact Center in Henderson, NV.

Position Purpose:

The Member Solutions Specialist (MSS) provides financial services to members in a confident and professional manner that assures efficient operations and exceptional service. Assertively executes cross selling with members and potential members to increase growth. This position is required to accurately process all lending requests received through the online channel up to and including interviewing, obtaining decisions, processing lending documents and closing the loan. This position must know how to calculate time to own (TTO) using the financial calculator and must be able to present this to their leads. Multitasking, working independently, and effective verbal and written communication is required of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess member loan needs from start to finish, starting with loan types, ancillary product review and submission of applications for approval. Finishing with the closing of the loan and follow up as needed, while following CU1's lending policies and procedures
  • Able to discuss loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit a positive response from member
  • Advanced knowledge of Consumer lending products and the ability to discuss Real Estate lending products.
  • Build relationships with members by educating them about products and services they could benefit from, helping them achieve their full economic potential
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Credit Union's strategic initiatives and align individual performance to achieve those initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to sell/cross-sell lending products to our existing and future client base to meet member needs
  • Have advanced knowledge and understanding of the financial calculator
  • Assume responsibility for department performance, department profitability and department staff performance through individual contributions
  • Represent the Credit Union by living our Mission Statement of helping members achieve their fullest economic potential, increasing community and family financial success
  • Manage a self-developed pipeline of members and prospects for future selling opportunities with the objective of meeting members needs that in turn exceeding sales goals
  • Participate in a sales, service and product training meetings
  • Accountable for meeting individual sales goals and participate in team sales and referral goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, procedures while staying informed of all policy and procedural changes.
  • Respond to member requests, problems, and complaints, resolving issues, and/or directing them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance. Handle complex questions and problems.
  • Screen loan documents to verify properly documented decision and completed paperwork is accurate.
  • Assists in employee training
  • Accepts empowerment and exercises independent decision-making skills
  • Additional duties/authorities as assigned by manager such as staffing the loan queue, contacting new members who have applied via Originate, and developing outbound lead opportunities
  • Adhere to all security policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred, or organizational development or related field of study preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in providing lending services to members to exceed member expectations and help members reach their full economic potential. Financial industry and loan processing experience is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to learn from instruction as we all independently
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with ability to effectively communicate with members, peers and supporting staff
  • Ability to operate independently and adjust to changes in duties and methods
  • Ability to turn loans quickly in a fast-paced environment with high volume while maintaining accuracy and remaining within Credit Union 1's lending policies.
  • Ability to sell products and services offered by Credit Union 1 effectively.

Interaction:

  • Day to day interaction with team members
  • Directly reports to Member Solutions Manager Sales
  • Talks to members daily
  • Talks to dealers and other Financial Institutions regularly
  • Interacts with branches and other departments as needed

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: 6:00am - 6:00pm | Sat: 8:00am - 12:00pm
