Come join our team! We are a nonprofit, fully accredited, regional healthcare center in North Platte, offering advanced medical services, including heart and vascular, cancer, orthopedic services, women's services, and trauma center.

We are currently seeking a RN Coordinator, Specialty Department in the North Platte area. Candidates with women and children health experience and/or med surg experience are encouraged to apply!

Position Details
•Day Shift, Women’s and Children and/or Observation Unit
•Responsible for the coordination of care and ongoing management of the patients in the respective specialty program and/or department.
•Assumes leadership role to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration in caring for and meeting the needs of the patients in the respective specialty program and/or department.
Functions as a clinical liaison and resource for the respective specialty program and/or department.
•Assumes responsibility for assisting the organization in achieving and maintaining certifications and accreditations specific to the respective specialty program and/or department. Activities may include but are not limited to participating in site visits and tours of the facility, performing random chart audits, and rectifying any identified issues.
•Facilitates patient, family, and caregiver education to promote continuity of care after discharge as well as optimal patient outcomes. Reviews and revises patient education materials. As appropriate performs telephone follow-up surveys on patients post discharge.
•Collects and maintains statistical and other data that is required to be collected and maintained by both the organization and/or others for the respective specialty program and/or department.
•Participates in PI (Process Improvement) and quality improvement programs and projects that serve to improve the quality and outcomes of the services and care provided to patients.
•Participates in community outreach and education efforts to promote and support the assigned specialty program and/or department.
•EMR: Epic

Required Qualifications
•Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
•Current RN license, or compact state RN license for state of practice
•Current BLS and ACLS certification required
•Additional certifications preferred: PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, completion of CPI
