Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Need with Growing, Full-Service Leasing Company!

Our client, a fullservice global leasing company based out of Fairfield County is growing and as a result, so is their Accounting department! This position will be reporting to the Head of Accounting and Operations, and working closely with the team overseas. The Accounting Manager will be an individual with significant experience in accounting close procedures and financial statement preparation, with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail! Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and record journal entries


• Prepare internal and external financial statements and reports


• Research accounting pronouncements that affect VAH to ensure appropriate treatment within GAAP


• Coordinate auditor requests for quarterly reviews and year-end audits


• Present information to management in concise manner and work with individuals at all levels within the organization


• Identify and streamline needed controls and process improvements that will facilitate appropriate financial reporting

Required Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:

• Strong quantitative skills and analytical problem solving skills


• Advanced knowledge of PC applications, including extensive knowledge of Excel and the suite of MS Office programs

Professional Experience/Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:

• Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics - CPA preferred; MBA a plus


• 4-7 years of experience in public and/or private company financial reporting


• Language: Fluency in English; additional languages a plus


• Strong knowledge of financial services, aviation or leasing preferred
