Director of Recruitment and Retention
The Director for Recruitment & Retention is a member of an administrative team consisting of the CEO and the Program Directors. The Director of R&R is accountable to and supervised by the CEO. The Director of Recruitment & Retention is responsible for the overall administration of the R&R program, in keeping with agency policies.
The Director of R&R must be able to demonstrate solid decision-making ability as related to the safety and wellbeing of the children and adults who are served by the agency
The Director of R&R is responsible for implementing the philosophies according to policies, procedures, and practices of Creative Community Services, Inc. as they pertain to this job description and as needed by the Board, staff, team, individuals, and/or custodians. The Director of R&R must be dependable, emotionally stable and physically capable. This position requires some physical functions that are considered essential to satisfactory performance of the outlined job responsibilities; i.e. sitting, standing, walking, driving, speaking & hearing. The Director of R&R must be able to serve as a positive role model for individuals and staff. Also, this person must be able to work with other staff members and must be able to recognize when assistance and consultation is needed. Hours worked will be defined by job functions, staff needs, and the needs of the individuals and custodial figures. The Director of R&R must be free to travel as the position requires.
The Director of R&R position requires an individual with demonstrated skill in performing those duties required. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field. A minimum of three years of prior experience is required. The individual must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and have a current Georgia driver’s license. The individual must be able to obtain a cellular phone.
The Director of R&R must have an understanding of the concepts of Therapeutic Foster Care and Developmental Disabilities. In addition, this person must be able to effectively relate to the agency individual and parents/custodians of all social, economic, and educational backgrounds. The Director of R&R must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
Because of the program’s high visibility, the Director of R&R shall possess skills in public relations. This person must have ability to establish and maintain working relationships with partner agencies, departments of government, and the general public as well as with individuals, parents and program/agency staff.
Work with all departments to assist with:
· Approve foster homes
· Have the authority to speak for the agency during TFC and DD audits
· Develop annual goals regarding new home approvals and retention rate
· Create/revise policies with CEO and Board approval
· Conduct IMPACT training
· Hold orientation sessions for prospective TFC providers
· Attends meetings pertaining to TFC
· Compile data for outcome measures
· Have an understanding of DHS, ORCC, and COA policies, regulations, guidelines, and standards.
· Act as an advocate for foster families and host home providers
· Meet with the Foster Parent Advisory Panel on a quarterly basis to discuss agency changes
· Collaborate with partner agencies—MAAC, support coordination, DFCS, etc.
