Chinova has developed a natural preservative extracted from mushrooms for various food and beverage products that helps to improve quality, freshness and shelf-life. What You Will Do:
The sales representative (12 Month Contract) is responsible for maximizing sales, profitability, growth and product penetration within an assigned territory. This position will report directly to the CEO.
Position Summary:
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to presenting and closing the sale
  • Establish and develop business relationships with new prospective customers to generate new sales for Chinova’s products
  • Research sources to develop prospective customers and determine their potential
  • Create and manage a customer value plan to identify share and value opportunities
  • Educate clients on the value proposition Chinova can provide
  • Ensure customer concerns are addressed and resolved in a positive and friendly manner
  • Remain apprised of industry trends and changes to the competitive environment
  • Stay abreast of the industry developments and their impact on the organization’s competitiveness and product offerings
  • Updated CRM with highlights of each customer meeting, enter new projects and record samples as they are shipped. Include notes on customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership team (CEO, COO, R&D, marketing) to develop new business opportunities and make recommendations to achieve commercial strategies that drive revenue
  • Actively participate in trade shows, training seminars, and conventions

Education and Experience:
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience within the food ingredients industry
  • 2-3 years of direct sales experience in a B2B environment, comfortable at all customer levels from multinational brands to small to medium sized brands
