The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates work activities of the project. This position provides technical oversight and personnel management to the group for assessment, remediation and construction services. This position is responsible for the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and with consistent and satisfactory communication with the client. This position reports to the Sr. Project Manager.

Essential Duties

  • Schedule, assign duties, and coordinate work activities of the technical staff based on evaluation of their knowledge of specific disciplines and work to be completed
  • Provide management and oversight during project execution
  • Track project financial status and coordinate monthly client invoicing
  • Compose and review technical reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, and timely submittal
  • Maintain understanding of Owner and NJDEP regulations, SOP’s, and guidelines; ensure all activities are in compliance


  • Review project financials and deliverables and provide updates to Sr. Project Managers
  • Provide detailed instructions for project staff
  • Setup, manage and control subcontractor services on projects
  • Effectively identify potential impact to a project from a variety of possible contamination sources and other outside influences
  • Review time sheets and field reports for accuracy
  • Ensure Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) on projects is properly designed and installed
  • Develop and maintain baseline budgets and work plans for assigned projects
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Confer with owner staff concerning policies, project assignments, defining scopes of work, and addressing project performance issues
  • Prepare and process field samples as needed and requested
  • Create and communicate Emergency Response procedure; ensure team is available as needed
  • Review/assemble project invoices and ensure timely payment
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 5+ years related Project Management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in overall Contamination Assessment and Remediation services including drilling, field assessment, remedial design, emergency response, systems operations and maintenance
  • Significant understanding of all field functions
  • Excellent technical writing skills, including writing technical special provisions and permits
  • Strong background in management of project teams
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, local regulations, rules, SOP’s, guidelines, etc.
  • Experienced and proficient with a variety of software tools including Microsoft Office and Timberline
  • Effective team player; collaborative and cooperative with internal and external customers
  • Good communication skills, both with employees as well as customers and regulators (comfortable in person, via phone and/or via electronic communications)
  • Highly Organized

  • Detail Oriented


Bachelor's degree from college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
