As a Sales Rep for Craftsman Painter you have a real opportunity to see the difference you can make in people's lives through facilitating the sale of services. Whereas most commissioned sales opportunities create a lot of risk due to unpredictable sales volumes, product offerings that aren't useful or don't work, and a toxic overly competitive work culture, your work at Craftsman Painter will be more about bringing joy to people's lives by providing a high demand service done by the hands of highly vetted and reliable craftspeople.

You won't feel like a typical slimy, shove-it-down-their-throat, sales rep here. Our sales reps are all about maintaining an inviting atmosphere of trust. They are able to educate prospective customers about improving their home using quality products and services, helping make color choices (*not required), and building a community around them that feels more like making new friends than merely looking at people as transactions. We believe that more people buy from people they know, like, and trust.

What being a Sales Rep with Craftsman Painter entails.

As a sales rep you will: 

  • work with people in their homes or places of work
  • provide estimates for painting services
  • make product and *color recommendations
  • network within the community
  • build relationships with referral partners
  • follow up and prospect via phone, email, & social media
  • build a personal brand on social media

We are a new startup launching nationally. Our CEO, Torlando Hakes has 17 years in the painting industry, is the host of the national podcast PaintED, and has a vast network of painters throughout the country. 

We are launching in the south side of Indianapolis and surrounding towns with a local Master Craftsman who is a trusted and skilled craftsman and crew. You'll feel very confident with being able to hand clients over to their care.

Compensation Plan

This is a straight commission role with competitive rates at 10% for annual sales below $1 million and 25% for sales over $1 million. There are no sales quotas and no commission caps. You are in control. Average sale ticket is anywhere from $2,500-$10,000+ for residential and for commercial sales from $25k-$50k+. Payouts are bi-weekly.

Full or Part-Time Commitment

As a Paint Rep with Craftsman Painter you are in control of your schedule. With a flexible work from home and in-home appointment based policy you'll be able to schedule work around your other personal priorities. You'll report via video conference and attend company meetings virtually. Most of your time will be spent focusing on meeting the needs of prospective customers, meeting people in their homes, and following up. You'll also spend time meeting people for coffee, going to networking events, and participating in your community. Your income grows with the number of sales you sign and you can expect your time commitment to increase as your sales volume increases.
