Fire Alarm / Electronic Security Specialist
High School / GED
Minimum of three years of previous, relevant field experience required.
Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: electronic security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire Alarm and/or Electronic Security (CCTV / Card Access) projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. It also delivers assigned projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules. Acts as a key interface for technical support with the customer and maximizes customer satisfaction. May mentor less-experienced staff. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
Solid technical skills and experience related to fire alarm systems and/or electronic security systems.
Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as a drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
Advanced computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and proficient in other relevant applications.
Electrical License: EL01 or EL06 is of additional value to our client.
Nicet II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems is desired.
