Customer Service Representative

COMPENSATION: Base salary: $17.50/Hr + monthly bonus between $500-$1500.

Our Customer Service Representative (CSR) position is THE stepping stone to learning the insurance industry and preparing to become a licensed agent. We are looking for great communicators that are very coachable who are comfortable working in a call center environment.

This role’s primary responsibility is to support our Agents by handling over-flow calls and following-up on leads from our partner companies. The CSR will provide warm transfers to our agents and schedule future appointments. There’s also several other customer-specific duties to ensure exceptional care for our member clients.

This position is a combination of sales & service and is a critical function to our sales success. Expectation is to handle high call volume, be able to multi-task and grow to become an agent.


  • Handling call over-flow from telephone queue
  • Transferring calls to agents and setting appointments for call-backs
  • Outbound calling campaigns to Members that got off-track with process
  • Re-harvesting business to alternative sales paths, as needed
  • Coordinating medical Exam follow-ups and assisting with case management tasks, as needed
  • Helping with other duties and projects as assigned
  • Expect to handle 50+ calls day and create 15+ new sales opportunities


Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Ability to get licensed within 90 days. (Covr provides training and pays all licensing fees)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to build phone-based relationships
  • Expertise with both in-bound and out-bound calling
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be computer savvy and able to navigate multiple systems
  • Must be a self-starter and ability to learn independently through experience
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Comfortable with routine, repetitive tasks
  • Ability to articulate message quickly and effectively over the phone
  • Drive, desire, and will to grow and succeed

DEPARTMENT: Sales, Direct-to-Consumer

WORK SCHEDULE: M-F, either 8-4:30, or 9-5:30pm, MST; may need to flex times due to business needs
