The Community Support Specialist facilitates and instructs small groups in a community setting to assist participants in growing community connections, developing goal-oriented activities, while modeling positive community engagement. This CSS role exposes participants to new experiences and opportunities, assesses and documents individuals' progress, and communicates with stakeholders to support participants growth. This is not a caregiving position; rather, it is a great step towards a career in education, care management, social work and a variety of health and human services fields.QUALITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND BENEFITS:
- Is at least 18 years old and has a valid drivers license and comfortable transporting participants. Three years driving experience is preferred.
- Experience with group facilitation and/or instruction preferred. Experience with individuals with disabilities is not required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screenings (Drug, TB, Physical and Background checks).
- Paid time off and holidays, bereavement leave, jury duty pay, workers compensation and a referral bonus
- Flexible scheduling - no nights, weekends or holidays.
- Paid training to include, on-the-job training, CPR/First Aid certifications, behavioral training, safety and much more.
- Must have valid driver's license.
