Marketing Operations Manager

JOB PURPOSE

The Marketing Operations team is the champion of all requests and projects from clients and marketing partners. This role will liaison between Operations and internal functional teams. The person in this position will be responsible for helping onboard new partners, leading implementation of new initiatives and systems, and ongoing technical partner management. This role will also be responsible for configuration, maintenance, and oversight of marketing automation tools and work flows.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, TASKS

Marketing Operations – Percent of Job – 50%

· Acquires and documents all business requirements for new initiatives or reporting requests

· Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

· Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

· Provide partners with necessary documentation and technical guidance for integrations

· Oversee or execute quality assurance efforts for all programs and initiatives

Marketing Automation – Percent of Job – 25%

· Configure and validate marketing and administrative systems as needed to support initiatives

· Design and build automation flows using the CRM automation software and manage the existing logic (GUI interfaces – no coding required)

· Work with the support team to troubleshoot problems with customer accounts or automation flows

· Write documentation for automation flows and standard operating procedures for related processes

Marketing Operations Support – Percent of Job – 15%

· Assists with training and documentation of programs

· Ensures all programs are formally validated once launched

· Produces ad-hoc campaign reporting for marketing and operations as necessary

· Investigates and resolves any issues with regard to program, data or system configurations, and proposes controls to prevent future issues

Management Responsibilities – Percent of Job – 10%

· Hires, trains and develops team members to meet organizational objectives

· Serve as system subject matter expert on technology and operations project teams

· Ensures that staff possesses a consistent and complete knowledge of all program implementation processes, product design, marketing strategies, and Coverdell administrative processes

· Ability to manage additional projects or initiatives assigned by manager

SUPERVISING FUNCTIONS: (If Applicable)

· This position is responsible for the supervision of 1-3 marketing operations staff members.

REQUIRED: KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

· B.A./B.S. in business related field

· Solid work experience in project management.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience with and aptitude for understanding evolving technology needs

· Ability to communicate and negotiate between technical and non-technical stakeholders

· Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

· Thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

· Proficient in MS Office products particular in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint

PREFERRED: KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

· Experience with project management tools and disciplines

· Experience with CRM automation tools such as ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Infusionsoft

· Previous experience with logic (examples include: coding, programs that use if/then logic, excel or Google sheets functions and queries).
