This posting serves to establish interested candidates for current open positions at the following locations: Covenant Hospital Levelland, Covenant Plainview, Covenant Medical Center, Covenant Speciality Hospital, Grace Medical Center The status of the position and shift will vary depending on the location. There are 3 different shifts; day, evening and overnight. The work hours vary based on location; 8 hour, 10 hour, and 12 hour shifts.
In this position you will: Certified Nursing Assistant 1. Performs and reports vital signs and immediately reports abnormal values to a licensed nurse. 2.
Answers patients call lights, relaying information to a licensed nurse promptly. 3. Delivers patients' water and meal trays, assisting the patient as necessary under the direction of a licensed nurse.
4. Provides patient care related to personal care/hygiene, ambulation and comfort. 5.
Transports patients, specimens, medicines, blood, X-ray films, CS supplies, and miscellaneous items as directed. 6. Follows all infection control policies and procedures as it relates to patients, equipment, supplies, and other miscellaneous items to include cleaning equipment after each patient use.
7. Demonstrates knowledge, prioritize and completing transcription of patient data in a timely manner. Accurately and efficiently maintains the medical record.
Certified Nursing Assistant II 1. Certified Nursing Assistant job duties will also be performed. 2.
Acts as a receptionist for the nursing station, answering inquiries of general nature through utilization of phone, patient call system, message relaying, and promotion of good working relationships with other hospital personnel. 3. Demonstrates knowledge, prioritizing and completing transcription of physician orders and data in a timely manner.
4. Answers patient call system promptly and cordially and relays information to nurses immediately. 5.
Demonstrates efficiency and accuracy in maintaining the medical record including daily chart preparations and posting reports in a timely manner. 6. Demonstrates efficiency in performance of clerical duties to ensure efficient daily unit operation.
7. Accurately charges and credits patient accounts per unit or department guidelines. 8.
Demonstrates responsibility for containment of hospital costs and conservation of office supplies; identifies potential cost savings. 9. Establishes and maintains a satisfactory physical environment in the nurses station.
To qualify for an Certified Nursing Assistant I Minimum Position Qualifications: Education: Graduate of a recognized hospital-based nursing assistant program License / Certification: Must achieve BLS Certification within thirty (30) days of employment; Current Nursing Assistant Certification Preferred Position Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. To qualify for a Certified Nursing Assistant II Minimum Position Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma Training: Successful completion of the Unit Clerk Class License/Certification: Current Nursing Assistant Certification. Must achieve BLS certification with thirty (30) days of employment.
