We seek a dedicated individual to be responsible for the routine inspection, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of a distributive type boiler/turbine control system, analog and digital control circuits and instrumentation, and continuous emissions monitoring equipment. Individual must also have a working knowledge of 480V and 4160V electrical switchgear, motors and starters.
The successful candidate will be a safety conscious team player that takes pride in their work and workplace. They will work to learn new skills and be open to occasional cross discipline activities to progress the team goals.
To be considered for this position you must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with electronic and pneumatic systems and equipment. Energy from Waste experience or Power Plant experience desired. A High School diploma or equivalent and/or formal technical training coupled with familiarity with programmable logic controllers and distributive control systems are also required.
Specific qualifications for this position are:
Ability to trouble shoot and diagnose instrumentation and controls with an understanding how they interact in the process.
Ability to perform calibrations to pressure, flow, temperature and other sensing instrumentation (majority Rosemount).
Proficient in the use of multimeters and smart calibrators.
Ability to read electrical prints.
Ability to read P&IDs.
Ability to trouble shoot Bailey (INF 90) hardware.
Ability to trouble shoot Bailey PLC logic utilizing S+ Engineering software.
Ability to trouble shoot Allen Bradly PLC hardware.
Ability to trouble shoot Allen Bradley PLC logic utilizing Allen Bradley software (RSLOGIX 500 and 5000).
Ability to learn and fully utilize the user Operator Interface System “S+” including the creation of graphic screens, writing ci-code, ladder logic, develop alarm tags, trend tags and daily logs.
Ability to learn and troubleshoot Ethernet communication in the Plant Control System.
Other requirements not related to knowledge are the ability to climb 185 foot stack and work from heights
During planned and un-planned maintenance you may be required to work extensive overtime hours.
Must be able to work "on-Call" during weekends and nights.
