Directs and coordinates the activities of a beverage manufacturing plant by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
Manages and directs the activities and priorities of the Maintenance, Production Planning, and scheduling Departments.
Coordinates production activities with purchasing, planning, production, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
Create a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
Create, implement, and maintain lean/Six Sigma initiatives in the facility.
Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products.
Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.

Manages 5 subordinate Managers who supervise a total of approximately 124 employees in the Maintenance, Planning, Production, Quality and Warehouse Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in Business Management, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field, and a minimum of seven years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory role and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess proficient typing abilities, and have knowledge of Spreadsheet Software (MS Excel), Word Processing Software (MS Word) Database Software (MS Access) and Email Software.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
