JOB TITLE: Retail Key Holder


RATE of PAY: $11.65 / hour

HOURS: Part-time; up to 29 hours per week; maximum 5 shifts per week.

REPORTS TO: Store Manager / Assistant Manager / Supervisors

SUMMARY: Performs all aspects of retail sales including but not limited to greeting and welcoming customers, suggestive selling, stocking inventory, keeping visual presentation of store, closing sale at P.O.S., and following direction. A Key Holder ensures the store is functioning properly and providing a great customer experience and ensures volume and task goals are met. Responsible to arrive early to open store on-time, set business up for the day; ensure proper coverage for open business hours; stay late to close store, ensure store is ready for the following day. Key Holders oversee Retail Sales employees, ensures they are providing a good customer experience. In charge to keep the store safe and protected when manager is not present.


  • Must maintain a personal SPAH of $30+ for 2 consecutive months.
  • Must retain 80% Customer Profile capture for 2 consecutive months.
  • Must complete Section 1 of Product Knowledge Quizzes with an 80% or better.


  • Opening and closing the store in accordance with mall directed hours.
  • Ensuring the store is safe and locked during non-business hours.
  • Manages safety procedures when manager is not present.
  • Utilizes proper documents to set business up and ensure sales goals are met/exceeded.
  • Assists customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner; provides outstanding customer service.
  • Advises and assists customers with their choices of product for themselves and for gifts.
  • Utilizes various selling techniques to increase sales.
  • Accurately completes sales using POS system according to established procedures.
  • Stocks and cleans the store for the best sales appearance and ease of use for the customer.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of all merchandise in selling area to effectively assist customers with accurate information; keeps current as new product lines are introduced.
  • Assists with merchandising efforts, displays, and floor moves as needed.
  • Utilizes customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales generating skills.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


  • High school diploma or equivalent or currently attending school.
  • 1 year of sales experience.
  • 2 years of customer service experience.
