Job Description

Are you a motivated Outside Sales Representative with a strong work ethic and a passion for people? We are looking to expand our sales team with individuals who want to achieve positive outcomes in customer service, productivity, professional development, and financial compensation.

Our Outside Sales Representatives exist to provide solutions that will increase our clients’ productivity.


· Market our line of Konica Minolta Office Equipment/Solutions, consisting of Photocopiers (MFPs), Scanners, Software and Mailing Systems in a geographic sales territory (Edmonton and surrounding area) to existing and prospective clients

· Grow our brand in the Edmonton Market through prospecting new clients, and growing our existing clients.

· Generate leads through business-to-business marketing, direct sales techniques, and cold calls (Door to door) on prospective clients

· Providing solutions to both prospective and existing clients to increase their efficiencies in workflow, reducing costs, and improving quality of print documents, along with document management processes

· Provide product information and demonstrations while creating proposals that fit the clients’ needs

· Gain knowledge of the product line specifications and applications and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors, and market conditions to offer best-in-class customer service

· Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates

· Provide clients with the highest level of customer service throughout the entire sales life cycle, including after sale or signed contracts, to secure long lasting profitable business partnerships

· Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, networking opportunities, and programs to capture key demographics

· Document sales activity and report to sales manager successes/challenges and action plans required to exceed targets in areas related to sales growth and brand awareness

· Manage a portfolio of client information in a CRM tool to maximize the marketing capabilities within the territory

· Utilize database to update customer contact notes and opportunities in a timely manner



· High School Diploma or GED required

· Post-Secondary Education in Commerce/Marketing preferred

· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required

· Two to three years of experience in business to business outside sales required

· Cold-calling (Door to Door) experience required

· Previous experience in business equipment sales an asset

· Voluntary certification from the Canadian Professional Sales Association an asset

· Excellent selling, negotiating and closing skills with ability to build and long-term business relationships

· Hunter mentality to find and grow business relationships

· Strong customer service skills and multi-tasking abilities

· Self-motivated, process driven, and goal orientated team player with winning attitude and positive outlook

· Strong organization, time-management, pressure tolerance, and precision-focus skills

· Proven ability to work unsupervised, and can make good high-production and customer-focused decisions daily

· Effective interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication

· Business level computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and basic math skills



· Competitive base salary: $48,000/year

· Generous commission and residual commission bonus plan, plus additional multiple bonuses thereafter to earn over six figures after two years

· Employee Benefits such as health, dental, paramedical, long term disability and life insurance, paid 100% by CBSCA

· Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

· Eleven General Holiday days to start and two weeks’ vacation after one year

· No out-of-town travel – sales territories are within the greater Edmonton Area
