Position: Sales Manager

The Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department.

Responsibilities:

• Hire and train sales staff, organize and oversee the schedules, territories, and performance of sales staff
• Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
• Provide leadership to the sales team, motivate and encourage sales team to ensure quotas are met
• Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; using data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets
• Identify and analyze customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts
• Assign territories and sets quotas for sales teams
• Consult with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs
• Resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies
• Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses 
• Acts as company representative at trade association meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field, OR comparable record of sales leadership experience required
• 3+ years of Sales management experience, background in flooring, construction or building industry preferred
• Experience in government contracting and procurement a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Spanish speaking is strongly preferred
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
• Strong supervisory and empathetic leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or related software
