The Business Development Associate will identify and help to build strategic business relationships, partnerships with owners, end-users and the A/E/C community. Provide and assist with Project support for the Project Managers, strategic marketing campaigns and implementation of business development initiatives. The Business Development Associate reports directly to the Regional Director of Project Development.
Identify business opportunities within the western region through direct contact with architectural client contacts, contractors, owners / end-users, lead generation sites in Healthcare, Education, Cannabis, Justice/Public safety and corporate market verticals
Assist in the development for a pipeline of strong, new clientele and projects through direct and indirect customer contact and prospecting
Daily review of lead generation services (IMS, GovSpend, Plant BIDS, etc.)
Assist in making go / no-go decisions on project pursuits with the regional business development director; manage the process and collaborate with the team lead of the pursuits from “go” to the delivery of package to the client
Support and manage process with meeting proposal and project deliverable deadlines; including assist project managers with specification and report formatting
Review current market strategies, case studies / projects, CRM (Salesforce) and database tools (Teams, Smartsheet, etc.) promotional ideas, client surveys, website, newsletter, social media and marketing collateral.
Attend pre-bid/pre-proposal meetings, industry conferences / trade shows when necessary
Create and manage the process including working with the marketing department with emails, blogs, marketing campaigns and marketing materials to go to clients.
Schedule and coordinate sales and marketing and marketing activities (lunch & learn programs, etc.)
Act as communication liaison between regional director, management teams and Project Managers with specification and report formatting.
Participate with regional industry associations
Maintain business development files / database
Education / Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or equivalent (3-5 years related experience)
Highly proficient with MS Office Suite 365, InDesign and CRM (Salesforce)
Experience in responding to RFP’s and positioning company for winning proposals
Experience in interfacing with all levels of management internally and externally
