Who we are looking for: Loan Officer Assistant is responsible for supporting the our Local Cornerstone Home Lending Teams. The job requires a detail oriented person with strong problem-solving skills with the ability provide clear written and verbal communications to all levels of borrowers.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Answer a broad range of borrower questions concisely, accurately and in accordance with our company values
  • Work directly with the borrower to collect documentation with sufficient urgency and follow up such that the loan is ready for set up within and generated within accurate disclosure within the 3 day timeline
  • Once under contract or as directed by the LO accurately order the appraisal
  • Submit the loan into set up
  • Run Pricing scenarios for the LO to review and approve prior to submission to the borrower
  • Run MI quotes
  • Create accurate and CMC compliant re-disclosures as needed with accurate fees and within required timelines
  • Provide borrower pre-qualification letters for the LO to review and approve prior to submission to the borrower
  • As directed by the LO, place follow up calls to the pre-qualified borrowers
  • Follow-Up on documentation as needed by the LO or Processor
  • Handles Simply Closer to Hone loan submissions to the Processor
  • Obtain property research/ analysis for the LO to review and approve prior to submission to the borrower
  • Import loan applications to Loansoft
  • Run loan scenarios in Edge (mortgage coach)
  • Pull credit & obtains AUS approval
  • Schedules LO conferences with the borrowers, as needed
  • Ensures borrower qualifies by researching investor guidelines
  • Complete the application
  • Send email to the borrower requesting mortgage documentation within 24 hours of application
  • Obtain the documentation from the borrower for the initial submission
  • Track and audit the requested mortgage documentation from the borrower to make sure they are CMC compliant and usable by the Processor
  • Ensure that the borrower documentation is in the shared drive and alerts set up and/or processor
  • Verify realistic lock and close dates with the Processor
  • Provide LO Notes - Clear story with written income
  • Assists the LO with MCC/Bond submission to WSHFC to ensure the funds have been reserved and pre-application papers are completed and signed
  • Schedule “hand off” phone conference with LO and Processor for all new submissions
  • Lock loan as directed by the LO
  • At the direction of the LO, assists the Processor/Closer by obtaining additional documentation post-closing
  • Maintain email communication with agents throughout loan process with a courtesy copy to the LO and Processor
  • Maintain contact with builder to tracks new construction progress and alerts LO and processor of critical dates and/or material events
  • Set up the tracking of the “deadline dates” to keep files moving according to plan and to alert the LO and processor of critical dates like:-72 hours app to setup/-no more than 7 days processing to UW/-and 12 days from closing
  • Schedule the pre-closing phone conference with LO and borrower
  • Meet with LO daily
  • Coordinate closing events with escrow
  • Send Closing Gifts
  • Help manage the LO pipeline by obtaining Loansoft and /or Fusion reports for the LO
  • Participate in weekly pipeline calls with the LO and Processor
  • Take action on loans not turned into processing by following the CMC process for Reg B and Non-closed loans
  • Prepare, update and assemble marketing materials for meeting, conferences, and seminars
  • Update contacts for email newsletters / sales force
  • Update content weekly for social media/ post content on social media

Qualifications:

  • Self- starter who can work independently, establish priorities and be a strong team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with LOS, Fusion, Excel
  • Good understanding of the lifecycle of a loan and CHL loan process
  • Must be willing to commute to the Lynnwood office
  • Familiarity with loan origination software, Sales Force, Mortgage coach Edge and Fusion is an advantage
