Cornerstone Financial Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Information Systems to join our team. This position is based at our Nashville location. This position is responsible for overseeing all credit union Information Technology (IT) functions, support of special projects, and facility maintenance. In addition, the position participates and supports the responsibilities of strategic planning and is responsible for facilities management.   • Manages all IT related projects on an ongoing basis (i.e., system administration, software implementation and modification, network security, hardware implementation).
  • Provides technical expertise to all departments for projects. Oversees activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of technical problems.
  • Assesses present and future software/hardware needs using input from other departments. Prepares project plans and IT budget in accordance with the credit union's Strategic Plan.
  • Recognizes new developments in IT and anticipates organizational modifications. Research new initiatives for feasibility and implementation.
  • Works closely with senior management, the IT team, and hardware/software/service vendors to assure availability and compatibility of services. Ensures that all IT related functions are compliant with government regulations.
  • Acts as primary contact with vendors and provides internal analysis and support. Annually reviews vendor agreements for renewal / renegotiation.
  • Ensures the capability, efficiency, and effectiveness of the phone system, the network, stand-alone software, Symitar and any/all IT associated hardware.
  • Maintains an inventory of computer related software, conducts periodic audits of computer related equipment, and ensures equipment and software are compliant with licensing agreements.
  • Ensures confidentiality and reliability of credit union and member data. Data /Financial analysis for reporting and presentations.
  • Maintains an up-to-date Disaster Recovery procedure for core data system and network. Conducts "hot site" testing at least annually.
  • Develops and maintains IT security policies and procedures. Provides annual information security report as well as periodic incident reports.
  • Maintains an updated operations manual for all IT departmental functions.
  • Manages and directs IT staff.
  • Manages and directs the Strategic Initiatives Manager to ensure all projects are coordinated and completed as scheduled.
  • Oversees all credit union facilities and properties and provides guidance to the Facilities and Maintenance Repair Specialist.
  • Prefer a four-year degree in Information Technology or related curriculum. Additional technical training and certifications are desired. Sufficient related work experience and technical training would be considered in lieu of a four-year degree.
  • Prefer a minimum of two years of IT management experience and 5 years total IT operations experience. Knowledge of telecommunications, networking, and associated hardware and software are required. The duties of the position are physically demanding and require the occasional lifting.
  • Must have the ability to effectively supervise and coordinate department activities. Good organizational and problem-solving skills are needed. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, or holiday hours as required by the position. This individual must be willing to commit to ongoing training for skill enhancements. Must be able to function as part of a team and cooperate with other managers, employees, members, and business associates. A valid driver's license is required, as a company car is often used in this position to deliver supplies and/or equipment to branch locations.
