DME Multi-Site Liaison – VT

 

Job Summary:

Orthocare Medical Equipment, a division of Corflex Global, is seeking a DME Site Liaison.  The position will be based in our Burlington, VT site located at UVM Medical Center.  The key responsibility of the position is to perform administrative and certain inventory related duties under the direction of our Clinical Account Manager. The Site Liaison will travel between various clinical facilities in VT to deliver DME supplies while collecting patient data, insurance, and medical information on products dispensed. The Site Liaison will review paperwork to obtain proper signatures, ensure completeness, and transport paperwork.  Proper procedure to safeguard and protect the privacy and security of “protected health information” will be a must.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Direct responsibility for managing an assignment of Durable Medical Equipment Inventory 'closets'

 

  • Liaison between clients and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products and solutions according to client needs. (Sales, Territory Manager, Senior Leadership, Customer Support, etc.)

 

  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. This includes full count review, full count scheduling, coversheet compliance, shrinkage analysis, invoicing and ensuring timely payments of invoices.

 

  • Assist the Billing & Collections processes by ensuring compliance of accurate and complete documentation, including prior authorizations, diagnosis coding, medical necessity documentation, etc.

 

  • On-site (face to face) frequent visits / meetings with referrals and clients (mangers & stakeholders).

 

  • Understand company administrative steps for billing and inventory management and be able to provide assistance to any area.

 

  • Establish and maintain communication regarding stock & bill account activity, issues or concerns with the territory manager and help with implementing solutions.

 

  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with Orthocare's values, professional standards, internal policies and applicable accreditation standards and regulations.

  • Assist the QI Coordinator and facilitate quarterly report generation in collaboration with the Compliance & Contracting Manager (QA audits, satisfaction surveys, client reports)

  • Perform patient assessments, implement treatment plans, fit patients with DME products (OTS Orthotics) and follow-up care.

  • Administers orthotic braces and devices to clients with relativity stable conditions.

 

Job Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record.

 

  • Ability to lift equipment in and out of a vehicle and transport to appropriate location, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

 

  • A desire and ability to work independently.

 

  • Possess good judgment and critical thinking skills.

 

  • Strong decision-making skills.

 

  • The ability to read, comprehend, and implement written complex policies and procedures.

 

  • Professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent.

 

  • Candidates must be comfortable in a patient care environment.

 

  • Training/education in a medical field and/or bracing (DME) background/expertise helpful.

 

This position has access to protected health information such as patient demographic information, date of service information, Insurance/billing information, and medical record information. The DME Site Liaison shall be free of any sanctions or exclusion from the OIG and undergo a criminal background check.
