Systems Engineer (Westwood, MA) ndash Local Candidates Only Scope of Position Coretelligent has an opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to become part of team that manages Coretelligentrsquos client-facing IaaS and BaaS data center environment, as well as internal systems.

This role does allow for work-from-home, however candidates must be local to the Boston area for travel to the area office and data center facility as needed. Some travel to remote office and data center locations in the continental United States may also be required. The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning new technologies, and should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, troubleshooting abilities, and be detail-oriented.

In this role, which reports to the Director of Infrastructure, you will Troubleshoot and resolve various issues across all facets of Information Technology, including but not limited to end user computing devices (laptop, desktop, mobile), virtual and physical servers, networking technologies and protocols, and third-party cloud services, and all associated hardware and software applications Lead andor participate in various projects and initiatives to deploy new products and technologies to fulfill business needs Act as an escalation resource and provide mentorship to Internal Support team members Participate in after-hours andor weekend work as required to complete routine maintenance, projects, and other tasks as assigned Proactively review systems for potential issues andor areas of improvement and review such suggestions prior to implementation with your manager and other team members as may be required Evaluate new products and technologies to meet business needs Create and maintain documentation as needed Requirements 5+ years prior, related work experience Ability to work either independently or collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with minimal direct supervision Comfortable working in a data center environment and occasionally lifting and installing heavy equipment, cables, etc. Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server 2012+ Active Directory and associated technologies (DNS, LDAP, Group Policy, etc.) VMware ESXi vCenter iSCSI Exchange 2013+ VPN technologies ndash SSL and IPSec Routing (static, BGP) Firewall management (policies, IDSIPSweb filtering profiles) Switching (VLANs, LACP) Server and endpoint backup technologies and best practices Single sign-on (SAML, OpenID, etc.) Mobile device management WiFi principals and technologies Preferred, but not required Industry certifications (for example, CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, CCNA, etc.) Experience managing FortiNet and Cisco ASA firewalls, and Cisco AnyConnect Scripting skills (PowerShell or similar) Apple macOS, Linux experience (Ubuntu preferred) VMware Cloud Director and NSX-T configuration and management Network virtualization protocols (VxLAN and BGP EVPN, or similar) The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
