The Position:
This position aims to cultivate philanthropic relationships with individuals, companies, and churches with a passion for eradicating poverty while working closely with the CDO and development team to actively drive fundraising efforts with a focus on major gift philanthropy in support of the Cross Purpose program.
This person will be responsible for leading a team of Directors that manage and lead various parts of the Development side of the house.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Senior Director will lead individual donor strategy within a team of development professionals
- Set annual fundraising plans, goals, and timelines to optimize donor relations and secure the resources necessary to support the organizations mission
- Develop opportunities and support for critical capital projects and special initiatives
- Develop, implement, and manage strategies for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a significant donor portfolio - helping to contribute a significant funding of the total operating budget
- The Senior Director will be responsible for overseeing thoughtful, compelling proposals for major opportunities, working collaboratively with program staff to obtain data and monitor the impact of programs
- Manage a portfolio of principal donors while also directing 3-4 direct reports.
- Maintain compliance with required donor reporting procedures and financial monitoring, utilizing CRM software and data dashboards.
Qualifications:
- Strong leader and self-starter with a results-oriented approach
- Knowledge of the fundraising process, prior grant writing experience with foundations and corporations; minimum 8-10 years of experience in an institutional fundraising position
- Track record in cultivating and securing six-figure gifts across a variety of programs
- Proven track record of bringing in new and increased sources of diverse funding
- Staff management experience, preferably for geographically-dispersed direct reports
- Bachelors required. MBA and/or Masters in related field preferred.
- Knowledge of key foundations and philanthropic funders, especially in the Denver Metro Area.
- This person should carry themselves with confidence, be able to interface with generous donors with high giving potential and executive communication skills.
- This person must resonate with the overall vision for Cross Purpose
Salary + Benefits:
- 40 hours (flex schedule of 9-3, hybrid role options)
- Salary/Wage: $97,000- $116,400
- Performance Bonus: Unique compensation bonus structure in addition to annual salary.
- Vacation: 15 days per year, plus the office is closed Christmas Day - New Year's Day, and staff Sick Days: 6 days per year
