Position Summary

A few job highlights include:
- Work independently but collaboratively with branch bankers, commercial lenders, private bankers, wealth management team, real estate lenders and other specialists.
- Develops and maintains a degree of visibility in the marketplace, along with developing relationships with realtors, real estate professionals, home builders and other business referral sources.
- Attracts new loans through personal sales efforts, community activities and from internal and external bank referrals.
- Utilizes training materials, reference tools and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information to both external customers and internal business partners.
- Initial analysis of applicant’s financial status and credit history to determine feasibility of granting a loan.
- Responsible for customer communication, locking loans, disclosing loans and collection of all required supporting documentation.
- Adheres to guidelines outlined in the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act/Regulations X and Z/RESPA and TRID).
- Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers and business partners.
- Works closely and cooperatively with Loan Operations ensuring teamwork and superior customer service.
- Assists in development of marketing materials, programs and initiatives to enhance origination efforts.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Active National Mortgage Licensing System License or ability to obtain.
- At least five years mortgage lending experience preferred.
- Demonstrated sales and business development skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to fully understand, analyze and structure mortgage loan requests.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, diverse, and growth-oriented environment.
- Must be flexible and able to work in cooperation with other bank staff and officers.
