Job Description

Clinical Research Manager (Project Manager) –Remote Position

A successful candidate for the Clinical Research Manager (CRM) position, a key member of the CorEvitas Epidemiology team, will have proven project management experience working in a client-facing, clinical research environment. Critical skills for this position are the ability to understand the scope of research project and their deliverables, to be able to communicate these to clients, and to prepare project plans, timelines, and budgets to meet project goals. Collaborating with the team and all stakeholders, the CRM will drive projects forward, problem solve, and provide feedback to the Director and financial team as to billing and forecasting of revenue. The CRM will be responsible for the day-to-day project management of multiple projects simultaneously within his or her portfolio. The CRM reports to the Director of Epi Operations/Project Management with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Epidemiology.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

·       Understand and manage the requirements for each project (including scientific queries, quarterly reports, and safety reports), and effectively coordinate projects for on-time deliverables to subscribers

·       Facilitate communication with clients, provide updates, education, and assure that the clients understand the processes the teams follow to complete projects

·       Develop project timelines, tracking system and budgets

·       Provide leadership to the team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals to adhere to timelines, adhering to responsibilities and project goals/milestones

·       Maintain project documentation, track progress on projects, and work with team and other investigators to overcome barriers

·       Establishing and monitoring of projects in FinancialForce (ERP system)

·       Interact on a regular basis with the Finance team, on the approval of time, invoicing and for questions about billing and forecasting of revenue

·       Formatting, editing, and review of scientific reports, obtaining final sign-off as necessary prior to delivery to subscribers  

·       Facilitate meetings and project conference calls; plan agenda and lead meetings, ensure that minutes are taken, edited, and distributed

·       Collaborate on and assist with the preparation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts; and to manage the publication process including development, documentation, and quality control.  In accordance with ICMJE guidance, the opportunity for co-authorship on publications is possible given the CRMs level of contribution to a research project and the writing of publication; and given there are no limitations on the number of authors imposed by journals or clients

·       As required, the Clinical Research Manager will represent the company or department at client meetings, internal meetings, or other professional meetings (as required)

Additional Experience and Qualifications

·       Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related degree with 2+ years of project management experience, or at least 5 years of experience as a project manager for relevant clinical research projects.

  • Familiarity with research in real world data, or observational registries a plus
  • Adherences to ethical business and research practices

·       Comfortable with fast-paced environment and able to simultaneously work on several projects

·       Requires a strong working knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

·       Familiarity with working in Salesforce or FinancialForce a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

·     Remote position anywhere in the USA

·     Travel within the US - up to 15%
