CCC is currently looking for an Analyst in our Credit and Collections Team. You will serve as the primary customer contact for the credit & collections, customer service and cash application functions of an assigned portfolio. This position will manage the customer base in a positive manner and will help the department reach its cash collection and DSO goals. The Credit & Collections Analyst will be responsible for the credit and collection efforts, as directed by the Manager of Accounts Receivable to ensure the proper account coverage across the delinquent portfolio and provide daily feedback on unresolved issues.

What you will be doing:

  • Directs collection of all receivables derived from Copyright Clearance Center products. Administers settlement agreements including partial payments, time extensions and write-offs.

  • Develops, implements, and monitors alternative payment plans for delinquent customer accounts. Collaborates with sales and other revenue generating business units to investigate and assess client credit risks, arrange appropriate customer payment terms or refer accounts to external collection agencies. Prepares credit and collection status reports for management.
  • Processes account adjustments and write-offs, negotiating with Copyright Clearance Center customers to establish appropriate payment terms. Assists with accurate and timely cash applications and account statement mailings.
  • Identifies and communicates account concerns to management. Researches and recommends business process improvements to minimize potential collection issues.
  • Generates appropriate reports regarding collection efforts, adjustments, invoice updates, and maintains related customer files.

What you skills/experience you need to have:

  • Prefer Bachelors degree in a finance related field
  • 2-3 years experience in high touch collections
  • Must have strong general knowledge of the billing and collections process cycles.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate challenges and present actions and solutions, along with excellent customer service skills. We generally correspond via written outreach.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with Oracle Financials.

  • Can work to deadlines while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor and continually multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • You work effectively in a matrix organization using interdepartmental communication.
  • You can qualify priorities and quantify results towards financial goals.
  • You use strong negotiation skills and solid judgment in changing a customer's objections into a commitment to pay
