Job Description

Basic Job Description: Exercise excellent customer service while providing services to the general public as well as our new and established commercial and legal clients. Our services include printing and scanning with increased attention to detail and organization, large format printing and scanning, pick up and delivery and more. Work with a sense of urgency when producing work for clients; keeping busy when there is down-time.

 

Key areas of Responsibility:

 

  • Communication with customers in-store, on phone, or over email with great customer service qualities like professionalism, patience, politeness, and knowledge of available products and services.

 

  • Operation of all equipment and machinery using CAUTION and SAFETY practices to ensure safety of self and co-workers.

 

  • Working quickly to meet necessary deadlines, including multitasking, and delaying less urgent projects to work on a more urgent project.  Completing tasks dictated by management relating to store maintenance and cleaning during down-time.

 

  • Problem-solving; basic equipment maintenance and repair (such as replacing toner or clearing paper jams); meeting high expectations of project completion deadlines, which may include working shifts outside of regular business hours.

 

  • Maintain a basic awareness of inventory and equipment; report needed items and equipment repairs to management; awareness of services offered by outside vendors/partners.

 

  • Work as a team player to complete all tasks with available resources, including detailed communications with other employees and management to maintain efficiency. 

 

  • Involvement with marketing for monthly promotions and the ability to up-sell services.

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Attendance to all scheduled shifts and communication with management regarding availability.  Reliable transportation is necessary.  A valid driver’s license is required.

 

  • Responsibility, accountability, and efficiency - even when working solo.

 

  • Close attention to detail and exceptional customer service. Provide an outstanding customer service experience by using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs.

 

  • Take complex customer orders and provide accurate pricing information.

 

  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer provided original media and documents.

 

  • Take preemptive action to prevent waste and errors.

 

  • Ability to utilize popular software programs, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, Google Drive, Google Chrome. Ability to use design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva and/or Premier.  Willingness to learn new software with proper training in a timely manner is required.

 

  • Must be able to lift and use handcarts to move moderately heavy objects or awkward packages (up to 50 pounds unassisted.)  Mobility and dexterity to move and manipulate equipment. Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.

 

  • Appropriate attire for a casual office setting (jeans are okay) with the knowledge that you may sometimes get a little dirty. (Dust/grime when cleaning; toner when working with copiers.)

 

  • Upon completion of training, work independently on Saturdays.

 

  • All other duties needed or required by management.

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent education

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
