The Designer II actively participates in project design and design support on projects. Under the direction of a Registered Interior Designer or Architect, the Designer II is responsible for the production of complete, accurate, and well-coordinated documents as well as assisting with programming, space planning, documentation, presentation materials, furnishings and finishing selections and installation. QUALIFICATIONS * Graduate of an accredited Interior Design program or a related design program with Bachelor's level degree. * 4-5 years of direct experience * Experience in Office Workplace * Demonstrated ability to produce high quality design and drawings. * Ability to work with minimal supervision. * Demonstrated competency with required computer software including REVIT. * Demonstrated ability to make design and documentation decisions requiring discretion and good judgement. RESPONSIBILITIES Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: *

  • Adhere to Cooper Carry and the Client guidelines and meets deadlines for each project. * Prepare and coordinate project documents. * Maintain practical knowledge of building codes and industry standards. * Research and select materials, colors, and furnishings. * Provide contract administration assistance. * Develop and maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources. * Collaborate in the development of design goals. * Assist in preparing project descriptions and history. * Participate in proposal/marketing efforts. * Demonstrate strong communication skills with client and design team. * Promote a collaborative team atmosphere. * Contribute as required to support the success of the studio and firm. * Become a registered interior designer. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
