Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Project Manager in Louisville, KY.

Summary:

• The IT Project Manager oversees various Mainframe Consumption Cost Reduction projects that are high complexity in nature.
• The work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity. The IT Project Manager assembles a project team, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
• This person often actively manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks.
• They should be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
• When managing programs, the Project Manager oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects and sets strategies and program execution to deliver longer term business value.
• The candidate will possess specialized knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects.
• They understand their own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies, and operating standards.
• The Project Manager makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities and follows direction.
• Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.

Required Skills : * Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field * Less than years of technical experience * Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design and practical implementation of IT solutions * Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences * Must be fluent on Agile Ways of Working * Must be familiar with Azure DevOps Preferred Qualifications: * Master s degree in Business Administration * Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification * Longevity working in data warehouse, decision support and reporting system environments * Comprehensive knowledge of development languages, tools, and utilities, including Cobol, CICS, DB, ASP, COM, .NET, and SQL * Experience in the health solutions industry
