Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in family crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology or related field, may substitute 2 years of experience with inpatient/partial hospitalization/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college.
- Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred Child growth and development education required
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
