Job Description

We have the below role open with our direct end customer for a long term contract. Candidate should open for the first week on-site and remote. All travel related expenses will be covered.

Required Skills (and years of experience): TOP 5 SKILLS NEEDED

• Strong knowledge of networking and network security (5+ years) in a managed hosting environment.

• Ability to design and define topology and configuration changed required to map to defined best practices.

• Ability to be a player/coach with junior engineers.

• Proficient command line level Knowledge Skills and Abilities with Cisco Firewalls and network connectivity troubleshooting (~2 years).

Preferred Skills: (NICE TO HAVES)

• Microsoft Project and Atlassian JIRA and Confluence operational knowledge preferred (can create and update a wiki page).

• GITHUB familiarity

• CompTIA Security+

• CompTIA Network+

Soft Skills:

• Effective listening skills

• Ability to follow directions and effectively prioritize assigned tasks

• Strong written, verbal communication skills.

How will the performance be measured?

• Daily checkpoints with the team manager, providing the status of daily effort

Education Requirement:

• High school diploma

Required Certifications/Testing:

• CCNA

• Or equivalent experience

Operating System Needed for this role:

• Cisco IOS

• Firepower FXOS

• Mac/Windows/Linux
