A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WORK-AT-HOME CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
As a Work-at-Home Customer Service Representative, you are the "voice" of each business that you represent. You are always friendly, respectful, and professional in all your interactions. Your cheerful smile comes through as you take inbound phone calls from current and prospective customers of our clients in the home service trades. During these calls, you ask basic questions to understand each customer's needs. Your natural empathy helps you understand your customers' concerns and hesitations.
To stay at the top of your game, you attend meetings, coaching sessions, and training sessions as scheduled. You also handle additional projects and assignments as directed. You are self-motivated and stay up-to-date with company reference materials, announcements, and promotions. You absolutely love having the opportunity to work from home in your personal remote office, while being part of a supportive team with a strong customer service focus.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of customer service experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to type 30+ WPM
- Private, quiet, and distraction-free workspace in a room with a closed-door
- Late-model PC or laptop computer with at least 8GB RAM and 720TB of storage and a large screen display (a second monitor is recommended)
- A reliable wired (not wireless) high-speed internet connection (10Mbps upload and 50Mbps download) the faster the better!
- Dual-ear headset that has USB and a noise-canceling microphone
- Webcam for training and meetings
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Previous experience supporting customers over the phone is preferred. Experience with the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical industry is a plus! Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills would be helpful.
