Overview: Our client is a non-profit corporation offering health management services to the underserved communities of Philadelphia. This rapidly growing company is seeking to add a technically sharp, well-rounded, Network/System Administrator to lead its team. This is a full-time 6-month contract-to-hire, that will be onsite in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Summary: The Network/System Administrator Team Lead will be responsible for infrastructure, maintenance, support, and architecture relating to the client’s server and web applications. This candidate must be able to understand the business needs at a high level in order to work with management and senior stakeholders to define system requirements, analyze infrastructure, and manage security protocols. The successful candidate will have prior experience leading a team related to IT infrastructure, and communicate their expert knowledge to their team, while also collaborating with all IT departments across the company. This candidate must be comfortable in a leadership role and have excellent coaching ability.


  • Coach team members on technical issues and help members develop and grow in their IT career
  • Understand business requirements as part of the leading infrastructure team and define the technical process
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining network architecture documentation
  • Oversee project plans to deliver results in a timely fashion
  • Monitor operations of infrastructure equipment and provide technical support as needed
  • Participate and lead system reviews (event log, system logs, and monitoring hardware/software)
  • Configuring firewalls and switches
  • Building servers from Vmware
  • Providing network design recommendations and implementation services by business partners
  • Meeting HIPAA, SOX, and PCI compliance requirements
  • Working with the business analysts, support specialists, and end-users to confirm infrastructure and configuration is up to standard
  • Supporting other IT teams as needed
  • Reporting work efforts and obstacles that affect business relations to IT leadership
  • Providing work estimates and technical specifications to IT leadership
  • Track project quality and progress in work effort software

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-8 years of IT infrastructure experience
  • Network and Systems administration skills including databases, web applications, data center operations, and business applications
  • Experience leading a team
  • Expert-level knowledge in networking and routing
  • Strong background with Azure and AWS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excels in a coaching role
  • Well-rounded technical knowledge
  • Eagerness to help a team develop their technical skills
