We are currently looking for an energetic team player for a new role as Sales Tax Manager. Primary duties will include ensuring accurate sales tax collection by numerous company locations and subsequent filing of required returns to multiple state agencies.
Candidate will possess combination of education and experience to perform the following:
· Establish systems and procedures for accurate tax collection at company locations in VA and NC
· Effectively communicate collection requirements and necessary procedures to employees and managers
· Research and resolve any unique sales tax situations
· Keep up-to-date with sales and use tax regulations and changes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia
· Prepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns to multiple state tax departments
· Correspond professionally with state and local tax agencies, vendors, and customers
· Maintain working knowledge of sales and use tax exemption criteria for various types of business
· Submit and collect sales and use tax exemption certificates
· Retain records in accordance with retention policy
Prefer bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field but not required. This is a full-time position with benefits.
