Assistant Project Manager

Rhode Island based general contractor is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to work in our Operations group. Candidates must possess strong written/verbal communication skills, organizational skills and be a quick learner. Previous experience or exposure in the construction industry is preferred..

Responsibilities include:

· Assisting Project Managers with scheduling, submittals, and project follow-up.

· Developing contract and change orders for multiple construction projects.

Communicate with architects, subcontractors, engineers, etc.

· Performing other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

· 1+ years of office experience.

· Previous experience or exposure in the construction industry preferred.

· General understanding of plans and specifications preferred.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work in a high volume environment and multitask under

pressure to meet established company goals.

· Must be able to work with others as part of a team.

· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word),

AIA software, and construction software.

 

Education Level: High School Diploma/GED equivalent or above.

Environment: Office setting
