Edison client seeking a Temp-to-Hire Maintenance Mechanic Assistant
Boiler License preferred
Experience: Must have 4 years experience in industrial maintenance mechanics.
Knowledge of component parts of steam cleaners, bus washers, fuel island pumps, meters, and air compressors; welding techniques; the installation and repair of modern equipment, plumbing, and hydraulic systems including individual components of these systems and mechanical equipment used in the repair of re-manufactured components; safety rules and regulations, and the proper use of safety equipment.
Skilled in: Reading and interpreting blueprints and plans, use of all hand and power tools used in carpentry, plumbing, and property maintenance mechanics; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; and the painting and fabricating of bus route signs; changing plugs and wiring of equipment.
Ability to: Diagnose problems and determine replacement or repair of parts; make material, labor, and equipment estimates based on blueprints study; follow written and oral instructions; and build and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work using principles of good customer service. Record Keeping: Records completed maintenance tasks; Performs other related duties as required.
Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Trade school preferred, hands on experience within a manufacturing facility a must.
