Primary Position Objectives
To effectively develop and implement documentation, procedures, systems, programs, tools, and studies for the purpose of making continuous improvements to the quality, cost, and lead-time of goods and services provided to customers of the company.

Description of Duties
Estimating
- Develop Project/Tool Estimates (Quotes) & Review Project (PO) Contract.
- Back up for the Project Manager for all metal stamping and four slides programs.
- Resolved issues on specific projects and articulate as directed by Management.
- Recommend how and where to create cellular manufacturing.
- Work with Project Manager on overseeing & first line contact – all Outsource – Tooling – Wire – Heat-treat – Design – Build. (China)
- Work with Tooling Manager on overseeing & first contact - all outsource for tooling samples – Heat treat – Plate etc…
- Update/Correct job travelers for operation changes / additions.
- Print quotes for processing – Tooling & Eng. Mgr. as received from the quote dept.
Lean Initiatives
- Observe CSS processes and give recommendations for improvement
- Participates in Lean Projects.
Other
- Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
- May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Industrial Fields.
- Ability to read blue prints and analyzes its feasibility to be manufactured.
- Knowledge of:
- Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.).
- ISO quality standards and statistical process control in a production environment.
- principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods.
- Statistical process control in production environments.
- Six-sigma or other methods to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control process capability.
- CAD Literate. Capable of using CAD for creating specifications for fixture/assembly aids, gauges and machine designs, as well as floor plans a plus.
- Proficient in creating and maintaining visual works instructions.
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Detail & Task driven work ethic.
