Job Description

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Acquisition Logistician shall have as a minimum an Associates Degree. Logistician shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with the Army Logistics System that includes experience in identifying material and logistic requirements for a wide range of U.S. Army systems and equipment.  Demonstrated capability to lead and manage an Integrated Logistics Team. Must have knowledge of Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSA/LSAR), Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC).  Must be familiar with the acquisition process and software to integrate a wide variety of logistics products with the development and publication of Technical Documentation, wiring diagrams and illustrations. Experience with total package fielding (TPF) of systems and equipment, including the removal of items and replacement with new pieces impacted by logistics management information updates.   Knowledge of DoD QA and 3 years experience required.  Formal DoD QA training desired.  Knowledge of and experience with Army Watercraft Systems is desirable.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Requires a thorough understanding of the acquisition process to integrate all aspects of logistics to field new and/or modified Army systems and equipment.  Requires an understanding of successive Integrated Logistic Systems (ILS) deliverables including, but not limited to;

·    Technical Data Package (TDP);

·    Product Support Analysis (PSA);

·    Modifications Work Orders (MWO);

·    Provisioning;

·    Publications;

·    Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS

·    Training; and

·    Testing.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements as outlined in Army’s IPS, AR 700-127, for Army Watercraft Systems to identify and ensure the supportability requirements for the systems and equipment are adequately addressed. The IPS elements include:

·         Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

·         Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

·         Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)

·         Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) (see SAE AS1390)

·         Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)

·         Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) Analysis

·         Analysis of Product Support Alternatives (APSA)

·         Post-Fielding Support Analysis (PFSA)

·         Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA)

·         Manpower Analysis (MA)

·         Operations and Support (O&S) Cost Estimating

·         Supply Chain Management (SCM
