Congressional School seeks an IT Support Specialist for the start of the 2022-2023 Academic year. The IT Support Specialist is an integral member of the IT Team and will work collaboratively with the Director of Technology. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing end-user support and exceptional customer services to Congressional School faculty, Staff, students and administration. The Support Specialist should have excellent technical, trouble-shooting, and customer service skills. The Support Specialist should be eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and be able to effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical users. All Congressional School employees are required to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage one to one Chromebook program including the administration, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of mobile device management software. That includes the deployment and ongoing maintenance of all Chrome devices.
  • Support faculty classroom technology (smartboards and classroom software)
  • Deploy, maintain, and trouble-shoot, computing devices for all faculty and staff including laptops, Chromebooks , and peripherals.
  • Consult with vendors and support providers to ensure the stable operation of hardware infrastructure and software solutions deployed throughout campus (networking equipment, wiring infrastructure, and supporting devices).
  • Assist with the maintenance of the phone system by adding/removing users and extensions.
  • Maintain end point protection software by ensuring all necessary devices are protected and up to date.
  • Train faculty, staff, and students, with the necessary knowledge to safely and appropriately use the computing devices deployed by the school.
  • Trouble-shoot the copier/printer system throughout the campus with the assistance of the copier provider.
  • Create and maintain user accounts in Windows Active Directory, Office 365, G-suite for education and papercut.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the on-site access control and security camera systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in IT related subject or equivalent experience
  • 2 year's experience with Windows PC hardware, Chromebook, and Help Desk Support
  • Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting various hardware and software for end users.
  • Experience in performing hardware diagnostics and coordinating repair.
  • Experience working with a broad range of technologies and solutions.
  • High level of initiative, proven ability to work independently, good time-management skills, and ability to work within tight deadlines
