Event & Sales Coordinator

The leading premium producer of top-quality products in the cannabis industry, is currently looking for an enthusiastic, Event & Sales Coordinator with outstanding sales and event experience and existing business relationships. The Event & Sales Coordinator will identify new business opportunities and generation of sales of our CBD products. This job is a great fit for people who have a strong work ethic, never give up and enjoy contributing to the success of our sales team. This position will concentrate on business development and sales support utilizing their excellent communication skills while operating in a professional office environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead generator for CBD events
  • Following up on calls for client meetings, inquiries, quotes, etc.
  • Following up with the warehouse staff, regarding materials/equipment needed for upcoming events
  • Organize and maintain accurate list of items needed for each expo
  • Setting up meetings with vendors, venues, and clients to bring new business into the company
  • Maintain a proper work etiquette and attitude
  • Prospect new business through solicitation, networking and cold-calling
  • Conference Service point of contact for all inhouse groups and events
  • Focus on clearly communicating event specs pre-event to events associate to ensure that day-of event is seamless
  • Oversees workflow of all business processing including preparation of reports, charts, and other statistics to support and direct the sales department
  • Assist with the management of budget associated with a successful expo
  • Responsible for maintaining budget for staff travel
  • Assist COO with the planning and on-site execution of expo elements
  • Excellent verbal presentation and negotiation skills
  • Coordinate business and social events
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, promote, and facilitate various types of events
  • Learn effective strategies in building strong client relationships
  • Address your coworkers and clients with respect and be aware the importance of teamwork
  • Maintains regular attendance and is consistently on time
  • Work independently and set timelines consistent with a successful event and troubleshoot and/or find alternative solutions under pressure
  • Research and contact potential new accounts, identify key industry players, and generate Nationwide interest while understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Market, promote, and sell to re sellers, distributors, and dispensaries
  • Work with CBD Sales Manager to formulate sales strategy
  • Other duties may be assigned at the company’s discretion

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in relative industry and/or field
  • Minimum of 3 years of event sales and planning experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and / or experience in the special events industry
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to flourish while working against deadlines
  • Able to coordinate and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Efficient with Google Calendar/Docs/Gmail/Chrome
  • Organized with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to take independent initiative, as well as work within a team
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time
  • Must be able to lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds
