Confluence Health currently has 2 Post-Doctoral Residency positions at $45K per year for the 2019-2020 training year. Benefits will include health insurance, retirement, ~ 3 weeks of vacation and 6 holidays, gym membership stipend, and reduced rates for cell phone service (carrier dependent). All doctoral degree requirements must be completed prior to the start of the Post-Doc Residency.
Integrated Primary Care Setting The first track is the primary care track which will encompass working in various Primary Care/Family Medicine Clinics within our North Country clinics. These clinics have a variety of patient populations served including pediatric, adult, to geriatric and vary in severity of illness. We also serve many Hispanic migrant farmworkers as well as seasonal farmworkers.
Residents will serve as Integrated Behavioral Health Consultants within a rural primary care setting and will be called upon by providers to assess and treat patients presenting with behavioral concerns during primary care office visits. Residents will treat behavioral health concerns and expand their skill sets to a broad scope of health related issues with psychological issues driving them, including chronic disease management and wellness. Residents will work as a member of the primary care team and will provide on the fly recommendations to medical providers and to patients. Residents will learn pain management principles, Suboxone management, Migrant/Seasonal Farmworker issues, capacity evaluations, be able to attend mental health court and much more. 2Post-Doctoral Residents will be placed within this track.

Position Reports To: Practice Manager & Integrated Behavioral Health Service Clinical Director
+ Conducts brief therapy sessions for clinic patients.
+ Maintains open access for urgent appointments for Primary Care patients
+ Assess each patient according to best practice and practice norms
+ Consult and collaborate with clinic providers regarding patients' mental, physical, and psychosocial needs.
+ Develop ongoing treatment plans for each patient.
+ Communicate with referring provider and/or Primary Care Provider regarding patients' diagnosis, treatment plan, and status changes.
+ Refer patients for other services as appropriate.
+ Participate with Integrated Behavioral Health staff at staffing meetings, case reviews, didactic presentations, and for training purposes.
+ Provide consultation with providers on patients with health psychology issues.
+ Participate in medical provider meetings as part of integration and any other meetings as assigned.
+ Present at medical provider meetings on mental health topics and be a representative within the community on similar topics.
+ Exhibit interpersonal skills that promote professionalism, positive team dynamics and a positive attitude.
+ Document all patient interactions within the electronic medical record and using additional forms as required within the required timeframe.
+ Follow all Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care policies and procedures.

+ Participate in a unit based QA program.
+ Participate in individual supervision, group supervision and didactic training when scheduled as part of the post-doctoral training program.

Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.
+ Completion of a pre-doctoral internship in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
+ Must have completed all educational requirements of a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology by the beginning of the Post-Doctoral position.
+ Dissertation must be completed by the start of the Post-Doctoral position.
+ Should have a thorough knowledge of the principals and practices of brief psychotherapy and preferred experience in health psychology.
+ At a minimum must be able to get licensed at the Master's level (LMHC, LMFT) in the State of Washington at the start of the post-doctoral residency.
