Our Center Director position in Franklin TN might be for you! This role effectively operates and leads all aspects of our center's early childhood educational programs.

Center directors are directly responsible for operational aspects of our center, ensuring quality care and education for all of enrolled children; hitting financial goals, balancing the budget and closely monitoring financial spending; dedicated to active and continuous improvement in quality of operations; providing top notch customer service to our clients; and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws including company policies and procedures. In addition, you will also meet the expectations for delivering customer acquisition and retention, quality program, financial management, operational compliance, and demonstrates expected behaviors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in ECE, Education, or School Education strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing 10 or more non-exempt employees, quality control, and finances in service industry preferred (children’s education, care, development preferred)
  • Empathetic understanding of the needs of families and children
  • Strong skills in sales and customer service
  • Skills in conflict resolution and collaboration
  • Experience with budget and financial accountability and revenue-generation preferred
  • Strong management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignment 
  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
  • Business familiarity with Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to thrive in high pressure environments
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
  • Travel between multiple locations as needed to support business needs may be required
  • Travel for professional development including booking flights and hotels may be required
  • Must be comfortable in both indoor and outdoor environments in a variety of weather conditions

  • Planning, budgeting, and allocation of resources while considering children’s needs and compliance regulation
  • Ability to motivate teaching staff in effectively accomplishing center targets, objectives, and goals
  • Monitors a child's development by consistently checking documentation and family interactions strategies of staff
  • Develops teaching staff by conducting ongoing observations, coaching, and embedded professional development opportunities
  • Leads learning of entire staff by facilitating Professional Development Day, intentionally following through on event learning activities, providing eLearning access, and conducting instructional staff meetings
  • Ensures orientation and training is received by all new and experienced teachers and/or others and equips employees with job-critical knowledge and education
  • Conducts financial analysis of center results, evaluates, assesses, and determines course of action with manager, meets budgetary expectations
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with state licensing authorities, community contacts, and Central Services personnel
  • Partners with Peers in the field to create and implement plans and strategies that result in increased enrollment
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures
