Growing construction products manufacturer is looking for a Director of Operations to add to their leadership team. This position will report directly to the President/CEO. Will manage multiple sites in Southern California.
Duties:
Ensure plants are maintained properly
Ensure succession planning is done for all key position of Foreman and above
Ensure quality control programs in place at all locations, and that testing standards are met quarterly
Ensure standards of production efficiencies are met on a monthly basis
Oversee and analyze production efficiencies
Ensure parts and supplies are being sourced from the most efficient and cost-effective supplier
Work with Equipment suppliers to learn equipment, maintenance and capacities of each piece of equipment
Work with Safety manager to insure all employees and locations are adequately trained and safety program is being followed
Review labor factor and OT reports to insure efficient staffing and operation
Liaison with Sales manager to facilitate timely production of customer custom orders
Recommend capital projects with ROI analysis on an as needed basis, with the assistance of existing mechanical engineer team
Requirements:
At least 8+ years of plant management experience within the construction products or heavy industrial manufacturing environment. At least 2+ years of managing multiple sites.
Material handling experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge a must. Working understanding of motors, gearboxes, basic electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics necessary .
Degree in Industrial engineering, civil, mechanical or similar discipline highly preferred
