The Security Site Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of Security Officers and Leads in their day-to-day functions and responsibilities on site. The Site Supervisor provides safety and security to the community and clients, leading by example and maintaining a professional appearance in the field. All duties must be performed in accordance with client and company policies and standard operating procedures, following all state and federal regulations.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises sites in San Jose, CA and assists with client relations
  • Manages a team of Security Officers and Leads in the field, ensuring compliance with client and company standard operating procedures and policies through supervision
  • Assists regional Supervisor with site checks to ensure employees understand company protocols, as well as meet and exceed client needs under the contract and company standards
  • Effectively communicate policies and standard operating procedures
  • Address grievances, issues, and incidents in accordance with company policy and refer matters to upper management as appropriate
  • Train new hires on sites
  • Utilization of tour tracking software in the performance of daily duties
  • Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols
  • Collaboration with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
  • Customer service driven, professional security services
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • May assist regional Supervisor with tasks including, but not limited to, scheduling, conducting interviews, processing hiring documents, and completing pre-employment requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain state Guard Certification as prescribed by presiding state law
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required
  • Experience in law enforcement, military, or the security industry, preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standard operating procedures, life-safety, and business continuity
  • Knowledgeable in general security industry standards and methods
  • Experience with Silvertrac or a similar tour tracking program is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the areas of people and conflict management with tact and discretion
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations
  • Knowledgeable in general security industry standards and methods preferred
  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations
  • Excellent time-management, communication, technical writing, and organizational skills required
  • Strong managerial and administrative skills
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possession of state Guard Card certification
  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License

Physical Functions and Working Environment

Frequent extended sitting, standing, and walking

  • Frequent climbing stairs, ramps, and occasionally ladders
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and kneeling
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional running, as needed
  • Frequent reaching, grasping, and keyboarding

  • Employment is conditioned on successful completion of background check
  • If prior military, must provide DD214 discharge document with discharge status upon job offer
