Technical Services Intern (Remote)

Interns at Computype benefit from working on impactful projects; receive a mentor/supervisor, structured supervision; are fully immersed into Computype’s business; receive exposure to multiple experienced business leaders; and conclude their assignment with a presentation of their project to senior company leadership. In addition, 1-2 social activities will be arranged.

We are seeking a Technical Services Summer Intern to work closely with members of the Technical Services Team and the Sales team in the areas of equipment, pre-marked labware, and RFID. This internship is in-person, and the intern will be required to work from our facility in Roseville, MN the majority of the time. This internship is great for anyone pursuing a major in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or other science related fields.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Support equipment by helping with set-up and creating documentation about that set-up.
• Assist the team by learning about, evaluating, and testing new equipment offerings.
• Help conduct virtual demos of products and services.
• Perform detailed testing of RFID products and document results per standard guidelines.
• Create documentation as needed in support of the Technical Services Team.
• Perform environmental testing as part of product development as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Sophomore or Junior in good standing with their college/university.
• Pursuing a major in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or other science related field.
• Excellent customer facing skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong technical knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
