Job Description

CTG is assisting a client in Washington, DC for a Technical Project Manager!

Duration:  12+months

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Technical Deliverable Manager. 


Work as a technical project manager/analyst on the architecture division for a system of systems deployment that will impact delivery of Veterans' care at facilities nationwide. Will compile content and maintain the currency of technical documents that result from architecture activities, such as detailed solution analysis and publishing/style artifacts. Provides back up support for design review event coordination and scrum master facilitation. Manages and supports the tracking and review of deliverables due from the vendor for PMO review and client acceptance that are assigned to the architecture division. Plans and executes ad hoc projects that require proactive research and outreach, as well as independent follow through and problem solving. Supports systems architecture development, consisting primarily of DODAF views created in Visio and/or a UML modeling tool.


Requirements   
•    4+ years of professional work experience 
•    Must possess knowledge of appropriate data sources to address the specific requirements of projects for monitoring, characterization, analysis and modeling
•    Able to perform scientific research, scientific writing and editing, including the writing and editing of project products to established government standards for the targeted science and lay audiences, proofreading of draft and final documents
•    Able to work under supervision
•    Must have strong attention to detail and ability to use appropriate data sources to independently complete high-quality work products that address assigned objectives
•    Able to work independently within an evolving environment, including proactive outreach to stakeholders and creative recommendations to achieve project objectives
•    Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
•    Must have experience with IT projects and teams through systems analysis support, technical writing, and/or technical deliverable management 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Science, Computer Engineering or related scientific, technical, or clinical discipline is required, or an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements


Preferred qualifications:
•    Experience in the VA 
•    Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
•    Experience in Department of Veterans Affairs OI&T and/or Health IT 
•    Familiarity with systems engineering and architecture analysis
•    Experience analyzing systems, gathering user requirements, producing systems specifications, implementing new systems, analyzing and programming applications, design and programming of moderately complex IT systems
•    Experience with technical or business process model development, validation, and improvement
